Some Information

According to one website, stress is described as “the ‘wear and tear’ our bodies experience as we adjust to our continually changing environment; it has physical and emotional effects on us and can create positive or negative feelings”. Those who are teachers experience changing environments year after year; stress is bound to affect them at least once in their career. It has been said that teaching is considered a noble job but it has also been noted that it is among one of the top 5 stressful jobs out there.

The following sites and links I made available help answer many questions relating to teacher stress. They discuss possible ways to help manage stress, tips for educators, coping methods, reasoning behind teacher stress, as well as studies that look into the causes and effects of stress on teachers. They also contain quizzes, links to other sites, plus video episodes that deal with stress in schools.
I hope this blog will answer any questions teachers; students or parents may have concerning this issue. Maybe by being more informed, present and future teachers, can prepare themselves for what comes with the job.
